COVID-19: Consult Animal Attorney Juliet Piccone by video or telephone conference
When you book your consultation I block out one hour for your appointment plus 30 minutes before and after for preparation and follow up. When I block this time it is no longer available for other potential clients or my current clients to book. This amounts to you receiving up to a $400.00 value at a cost of $250.00.
As my calendar fills up I forgo other potential legal work which cannot be recovered in the event of a last minute cancellation or scheduling conflict. I will strive to work with you on scheduling, understanding that other matters may come up unexpectedly. I have developed this policy to balance your need of flexibility and my need of predictability and stability in running my law firm.
To cancel your appointment completely and receive a refund, you must use the online scheduler and complete the cancellation no later than 12 hours before the appointment. AN EMAIL OR A PHONE CALL WILL NOT COUNT AS A PROPER CANCELLATION.
Date and Time conflicts: You may reschedule your appointment using our online scheduler no later than 12 hours before the scheduled start time. I may also reschedule if necessary due to unexpected circumstances, but I will clear this with you and give you the option to cancel for a refund. Rarely I may discover a conflict of interest after you have scheduled which would mean I would have to cancel your consultation. If this happens I will refund the entire prepaid fee.
When you submit an online payment through my portal, LawPay processes the transaction (which can take several days to post to the Firm’s trust account. The trust account holds all prepayments/retainers for future legal fees. I will be deemed to have earned the fee (or part of it) once the consultation is completed or the appointment was not rescheduled or canceled in time.
Assuming pre-paid funds have been posted from LawPay to the firm's trust account, I will process the refund within 7 business days of the event triggering the refund via LawPay. If I have already spent time preparing, that time will not be refunded and will be billed at $200.00 per hour, with the remainder refunded.
